ArtbyClaire is an Artist & a Photographer and it is this unique combination of talents which she brings to your Wedding & Portrait Photos & Commissioned Art.

ArtbyClaire is a culmination of Claire's Photography and Art and was founded in January 2004. As a child, Claire was fortunate  enough to live in India as a child & attended the International School of Hyderabad in Andhra Pradesh. 

Within this multi cultural society, she made her early impressions of life, seeing everything in a riot of colour, dimensions, shapes & patterns against the backdrop of bustling cities, sunsets & red dawns.  These images stayed with her and she went on to travel extensively in the Far East, Hong Kong, Bali, Thailand, Australia, always taking her Windsor & Newton paint box, a sketch book and crucially her camera to capture the unexpected moments of life.With a BA (Hons) French & Italian at the University of Leicester and language schools in Florence and Toulouse, she then went on to study Photography and Art at St Martin's College of Art, London.

In London she started out as a freelance Photo Editor for national newspapers and magazines including Conde Nast Traveller, Time, People (US Edition) The Daily Mail, The Daily Telegraph, Red Magazine, News of the World, The FT & more.

From behind the scenes, her passion for photography grew until she set up as a photographer herself in 2000. Claire also has a passion for dance and Salsa and Tango, experimenting with both digital photography and other art mediums to capture the vitality and form.  Claire firmly believes confidence in a photographer ensures the best photos, and is at her best when helping people to relax and just be themselves.
